TUCSON, Ariz. -A Cochise County judge dismissed the recall effort against Douglas Mayor Robert Uribe on Wednesday May 1, according to the Douglas Dispatch.
The intended recall election was suppose to occur in August.
Residents are asking Uribe to resign after concerns were raised about the city's financial stability.

Uribe responded to these allegations in a tweet in February, "A false narrative, orchestrated by false claims has emboldened people to act and behave in hatred. I won’t be intimidated. Yes, I am % committed to successfully completing my term."
