A train struck and killed an individual near West Grant Road and Interstate 10 on Thursday.
According to Union Pacific, the person, described as a trespasser, was struck by the train while on Union Pacific property.
The person died at the scene, Union Pacific said.
Support is being offered to the train crew who witnessed the incident, but were not injured, Union Pacific said.
