TUCSON, Ariz. — The 2020 Arizona Presidential Primary election takes place on March 17, 2020.

Registered voters in the Grand Canyon State will decide which candidate they prefer to represent the democratic party in the upcoming election.

There will be no republican primary this election season in Arizona. This is due to the GOP deciding to forgo the nominating process, making President Trump the sole candidate for republican voters.

When is the deadline to register to vote in the primary?

The deadline to register is on Feb. 18, 2020 at midnight.

How can I request to vote by mail?

If you prefer to vote by mail, fill out a "Ballot by Mail Request" on the Pima County Recorder's Office website.

What address do I mail my ballot to?

The address for the Pima County Recorder is P.O. Box 3145, Tucson AZ 85702-3145. You can also drop it off at any Pima County polling place on election day.

I am registered as an independent, can I still participate in the primary?

According to the Pima County Recorder's Office, if you're registered as independent, you must switch to the democratic party in this primary election since there is only one party to choose from.
