The mountains surrounding Tucson were hidden behind a thick haze Thursday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, Tucson, the blocked view was due to "dust being lofted into the atmosphere from storm activity overnight."

The NWS said the haze should mix out by mid-to-late morning.
