HAZMAT called after crash sends two to hospital

TUCSON, Ariz. -- HAZMAT units are on the scene of a vehicle crash that sent two to the hospital.

Golder Ranch Fire was called to the intersection of First Ave. and Tangerine around 9 a.m. Friday.

According to Golder Ranch Fire, pool chemicals were involved in the crash which is why HAZMAT units are on scene. No word on how many vehicles were involved.

Oro Valley Police are also on scene helping direct traffic. At first, southbound Rancho Vistoso and eastbound Tangering were closed before the entire intersection of First and Tangerine was shut down. By 11 a.m., all roads were reopened.

Officials say two patients were transported for minor injuries.
