The Tucson Department of Transportation is further gearing up for Monsoon in Tucson.

The department will be distributing free sandbags ever Wednesday in the north parking lot of the Tucson Rodeo Grounds located at 4826 S. Sixth Avenue from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.The department will be distributing the sandbags until the end of Monsoon in mid-September.
Many times, Monsoon can mean flooding, and many locations around town are particularly vulnerable to flooding and road closure during heavy heavy.
The Tucson Department of Transportation highlighted 18 locations throughout Tucson that have been susceptible to flooding in the past.
TDOT is hoping to spread their message as far as possible, "Turn around, don't drown."
"Well the best advice that we always give it if there is any water is present in a dip-crossing when their approaching find a different route," said Shawn Moore with the Tucson Department of Transportation.
