Mary McNabb, who worked as a bookkeeper for the Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs (AZCOPS), was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 7 years of probation for stealing from the organization.
According to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Tucson police found that she made more than $195,000 false payments to herself for activities such as dinner and shopping.
McNabb pleaded guilty to one count of theft and one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices. She was ordered to pay $227,749 in restitution to AZCOPS.
