UPDATE (12:40 p.m.): The reported fire at a mixed-use complex at East Sixth Street and North Campbell Avenue turned out to not be a fire at all.
According to Danny Gallego, one of the owners of Trident Pizza Pub, employees were cleaning the exhaust system during routine maintenance, when some ash fell, creating a dark smoke.
A passerby saw the smoke and reported a fire to TFD. No one was hurt and there is no damage to the building, Gallego said.
Trident will be closed Thursday, but will reopen Friday with normal hours.
