Find Waldo in Downtown Tucson, get prizes

Posted

Waldo, the famous character known for his red and white striped shirt, is jumping out of the puzzle books and into local shops downtown and on 4th Ave.

It's all a part of a summertime initiative designed to support the shop local initiative in Tucson.

Six-inch cardboard cutouts of Waldo are hiding in 26 local businesses on 4th Avenue, Downtown, and at Broadway Village. Participants that find him in at least 20 of those locations will be entered to win prizes from participating locations.

To participate, pick up a Find Waldo! Passport at Antigone Books. Visit participating businesses in order to get your passport stamped or signed for each Waldo you spot.

The Find Waldo search begins on July 1, and passports must be turned in by July 31 to be eligible to win.

The Find Waldo Local initiative is part of a national campaign by Candlewick Press and the American Booksellers Association as fun way for small business owners across the country to promote the value of shopping locally to their customers.
