TUCSON, Ariz. — Federal agents were met with gunfire while executing a search warrant in Benson Wednesday morning.

According to a spokesperson from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), special agents from Homeland Security Investigations were serving a federal search warrant at a residence in Benson near the intersection of South Ocotillo Avenue and West 5th Street.

When they arrived at the residence, a suspect opened fire on the officers. Agents returned fire, and the suspect sustained non-life threatening injuries from a window that was shattered and was taken to a hospital.

ICE says the search warrant was related to child pornography. Authorities haven't released the name of the suspect.
