TUCSON, Ariz. — A big change is coming to this year's El Tour de Tucson.
The event's 75-mile ride has been eliminated completely.
El Tour de Tucson's organizer Perimeter Bicycling Association of American, Inc. provided this statement Friday:
"After much discussion, we have decided to streamline the overall event and part of that is eliminating the 75-mile ride. If you have registered already for that ride, we will call you personally to place you in either the 50-mile or 100-mile ride. We appreciate your participation, and know that we are as excited as you are about El Tour de Tucson and its future. Thank you for your patience."
