El Guero Canelo makes Trip Advisor's 2018 list of best restaurants

TUCSON, Ariz. - Any Tucsonan will agree that few things top a Sonoran Hot Dog from El Guero Canelo.

Locally, El Guerro Canelo is always near the top when searching for best restaurants in town, but now, thanks to a new list from Trip Advisor, it's getting national attention.

The travel website released its list of the Best Fast Casual Restaurants in the U.S. Tuesday, and the Tucson staple took the 19th spot.

The list is based on an algorithm that takes into account the quality and quantity of reviews for restaurants around the world gathered over a 12-month period.
