eBay is challenging Amazon by launching a week-long shopping event, taking a swing at Amazon by saying theres "no membership required, ever."

Starting July 16, online shoppers can score thousands of brand new, in-demand items across categories like electronics, home, fashion, and sporting goods at up to 80% off their regular retail price, according to its press release.

The company also highlighted the new Best Price Guarantee service. If customers find an item for less on an eligible competitor’s website, eBay will give them 110 percent off the price difference for all eligible deals and products -- here's how it works.

eBay didn't release any specific deals, but says it will include the biggest brands like Apple, Samsung, Adidas, Dyson, KitchenAid, and hundreds more.

Earlier this week, Amazon announced this year's Prime Day will be extended to 36 hours, also beginning on July 16.
