Tucson Police have revealed the suspect who shot and killed a man at an Eastside apartment complex yesterday is the brother of another man killed at the same location in February.

According to Sgt. Peter Dugan with TPD, the most recent homicide happened at 1901 N Wilmot Road at the Sycamore Creek Apartments on Wednesday around noon.

Investigators say, Jamie Kogut, 43, was shot and killed in the front seat of his work van at the parking lot of the complex. Police received a  911 call after they responded to the initial shooting. The caller identified himself as
Christopher Heiss-Richardson, 21. He told police that he had just been involved in an argument with the victim at the apartment complex. Police detained Heiss-Richardson for questioning and detectives then determined he was the brother of the man shot and killed at this same apartment complex last month.

According to police, Heiss-Richardson was at the complex trying to get information about his brother's murder. He contacted Kogut because he knew that he was with his brother the night he was killed. They talked and then left in separate cars, but before leaving the parking lot, Heiss-Richardson shot Kogut.

Heiss-Richardson was booked into the Pima County Jail on one count of second-degree murder.

Police are asking for more information about the incident, if you know anything that may help in the investigation, you are asked to call 88-CRIME.
