Tucson Police officers have identified the man who died in Tuesday morning's single vehicle rollover collision on River Road.
According to TPD, 26-year-old Michael Herrera was traveling eastbound on River Road at a high rate of speed. As he was negotiating a bend in the roadway, he lost control of the vehicle and ended up in the westbound lanes of traffic where he hit the northern curb and decorative wall.
Shortly after first responders arrived, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown if impairments were a factor.
Detectives have learned that the vehicle involved, a black Chevrolet Impala, had been stolen from a used car dealership a short time prior to the collision.
