PHOENIX - After U.S. Marshal Chase White died tragically in the line of duty on Friday, Nov. 29, Governor Doug Ducey has ordered that all state building flags be lowered to half-staff immediately in honor of White's life and service.

Ducey released the following statement:

"Arizona mourns the loss of Deputy U.S. Marshal Chase White who was killed while protecting our state. Deputy White’s ultimate sacrifice reminds us of the dangers that law enforcement officers and first responders face every single day -- we’re eternally thankful for his courage and dedication, and thankful to every hero who serves," said Ducey. "Rest in peace, Chase White, Arizona’s prayers are with your family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time."

On the day of interment, flags will also be lowered. That day has no been set yet.
