UPDATE: TPD identifies man killed near Burger King on Tucson's Southeast side

UPDATE (2:53 p.m.)

Tucson Police have identified the man who was shot and killed on East Golf Links Road, Wednesday night as 24-year-old Trevyiente Anthony Smith-Henry.

According to a news release from Tucson Police, officers responded to the shooting in the 7000 block of East Golf Links Road at 11:45 p.m.

They arrived to find Smith-Henry, unresponsive. He had been shot the news release said.

Aid was given, but Smith-Henry ultimately died at the scene.

No other injuries were reported. Detectives and TPD Crime Scene techs processed the parking lot, but detectives do not yet have a motive or suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME.

The investigation is ongoing.

Tucson Police are investigating a homicide that took place Thursday morning at a shopping center in the 7000 block of East Golf Links.

Police have blocked the area and put up crime scene tape.

A tow truck could be seen towing a car from the area.
