The Pima County Sheriff's Department has identified a male suspect and another victim, following a deputy-involved shooting in the 8800 block of South Alice Vail Lane near Three Points.

Authorities have identified the male suspect as 55-year-old Chancey Chamblee. The female victim who was found injured and later died on the scene has been identified as 56-year-old Brenda Doucette. Deputies say Doucette was the sister of Chamblee.

PCSD tells KGUN9, they were called to the scene shortly before 12 a.m. Friday by Doucette, who claimed Chamblee had a gun and was trying to break into the residence through a window. When deputies arrived at the location, they made contact with Chamblee, who was still inside the home, which led to the gunfire. Chamblee was shot and killed by a deputy. Investigators say Doucette was found with several injuries to her body, resulting in her death.

At this time, there is no word on what led up to the shooting involving deputies, nor how Doucette died. However, PCSD says Chamblee was known to authorities.

The Homicide Unit has now taken over the investigation.
