Pima County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a home invasion and deadly shooting west of town Tuesday morning. Deputies are investigating the case as a possible homicide.
According to deputy Cody Gress, a call came in at 4:20 a.m. multiple suspects broke into a home in the 2200 block of West Oregon. After speaking with witnesses, it was determined that one suspect was shot as the result of a gunfight. The suspects drove off in a white four-door car.
At 5:30 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a man down in the area of the 3100 block of West Calle Cisne.
According to deputy Cody Gress, a man was found dead in the roadway with gunshot wounds. Homicide detectives are investigating and it is unclear if the two incidents are related.
