The Pima County Attorney's Office will not pursue the death penalty in the prosecution of murder suspect King Yates.
Yates faces a first degree murder charge. Police say Yates shot his wife, Cassandra Yates, to death in November 2016.
Chief Trial Counsel Jonathan Mosher confirmed to KGUN9 that the death penalty will not be sought.
