Prosecutors will seek the death penalty in the case accused of killing a police officer

TUCSON, Ariz, - Prosecutors will seek the death penalty in the case of a carjacker accused of killing a police officer.

Last year in April, police arrested David Ernesto Murillo after officer Jesus Cordova was shot and killed while investigating a carjacking.

A notice of intent to seek death penalty was filed on Feb. 14, 2019. He was charged with killing officer Jesus Cordova.
