Crews worked to repair a water main break near Speedway and Camino Seco Tuesday.
According to the Tucson Water Department, a contractor working in the area hit one of the water lines.
The break was in the inside southbound lane of Camino Seco near Pima Street. Repairs were expected to last six hours.
Crews cleaned out debris from the northbound lanes to open the way for traffic. Southbound Camino Seco was closed at Pima Street throughout the repair. Traffic was diverted to westbound Pima. The roads have since reopened.
Two houses lost service for part of the day.
