A year-and-a-half long construction project begins on Colossal Cave Road tomorrow.
Crews will be working to make the road safer for both drivers and pedestrians and to ease traffic congestion.
The road work stretches from Old Vail Middle School to Acacia Elementary School.
Paving for the detour lane will start Monday which will take three days, drivers can expect minor delays.
Road closures at the railroad crossing aren't expected until the fall.
