The family of a domestic violence victim in Tucson is hosting a celebration of life "cruise" in honor of their loved one Sunday afternoon.
Rosaura Hernandez-Barbosa was killed after breaking up with her live-in boyfriend during a domestic violence incident in May.
Her mother said, "She was so trusting. She believed everyone was like her, and no matter how many times I tried to tell her that people have dark hearts, she just couldn't understand it because she didn't have that in her."
The family chose a "cruise" because they say Rosaura loved being outdoors and loved cars, bikes, and trucks.
The cruise will start at 4 p.m. and will go from A Mountain to Rodeo Park.
The family is asking that participants make signs in her honor, or in honor of someone else who was lost to domestic violence.
