TUCSON, Ariz. - The sounds of Mariachi music, people all over the country are listening to it today in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.
Today, Compañia de Danza Folklorica Arizona and El Mariachi Tapatio de Tucson had two performances at the Gaslight Music Hall in Oro Valley.
Cinco de Mayo is a special day on the Mexican calendar to celebrate Mexico's victory over France in the battle of Puebla.
One musician says this day is a way for him to celebrate culutre and diversity with the Tucson community.
The Mariachi group plays a variety of different music, but focused on traditional music on the holiday.
