TUCSON, Ariz. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers prevented an Arizona man from smuggling 157 pounds across the border Wednesday in Doulgas, Ariz.
Officers stopped the man's SUV at the Raul Hector Castro Port of Entry after being alerted by a narcotics canine and searched his vehicle. The officers found nearly 150 packadages of marijuana dispersed throughout the car, which totaled 157 pounds, worth nearly $79,000.
The car was then siezed and the Arizona man was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
