TUCSON, Ariz. - Law enforcement authorities were scheduled to hold a free car seat safety class Wednesday.

According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, a properly-installed car seat can reduce the risk of a child's death by 71 percent.

Authorities recommend using the manual as guidance when installing a car seat, as well as tightening the straps and reading the labels to make sure the seat fits your child.

Today's sessions are full, but more classes are on the way in August and September. Dates have yet to be finalized.

Viewers can book appointments with car seat technicians at 351-4615.
