Customs and Border Protection agents seized nearly $119,000 worth of heroin and methamphetamine, and arrested two Mexican nationals who were attempting to smuggle the drugs through the Port of Nogales.
On September 24, officers working with a CBP canine at the Mariposa crossing located three pounds of meth, worth about $8,300, on a 26-year-old man driving a Chevrolet sedan.
On September 26, officers stopped a 38-year-old man trying to cross the border with $110,000 worth of meth and heroin in the heater core of his Volkswagen.
The drugs and vehicles were seized, and both men were taken into custody.
