TUCSON, Ariz. — Bedroxx Bowling will close its doors at the end of the month.
The Marana bowling alley's owner Cyndi Johnson made the announcement in a Facebook post Friday afternoon. Johnson said the building owner's new lease nearly doubled in the new year, and was not manageable for the business.
Johnson also said the Ina Road project also hurt the business over its nearly two years of construction. She said Bedroxx had to downsize its staff from 30 to 11 employees during that time due to a lack of business.
"I cannot thank the community enough for all the great times and events we have done for you, you will be truly missed," she said in a Facebook post.
Over the next two weeks, Johnson said they'll be busy selling equipment and preparing for the closure, though Bedroxx will still be open for 10 more days.
