TUCSON, Ariz. — A local baseball field will soon be named after a young girl who died in a car crash.
The Pima County Board of Supervisors voted to make the change at their Tuesday meeting.
Jazelle Armenta was on her way to cheer practice in September. The car she was in collided with another driver, killing Jazelle.
Field two at Winston Reynolds Manzanita Park will now bear Jazelle's name.
The park is special for the community, because that is where they held Jazelle's vigil after she died.
