A barricade situation, blocking off Prince Rd. for multiple hours -- ended peacefully around 7:00 p.m. Sunday night.
Tucson Police initially responded to a call to the 500 Block of E. Gay St. on the west side. Officers on the scene believed they heard a gun shot come from inside the house, so they called for more resources and backed away from the home. After the situation ended, they found out no shots were fired -- the man inside had broken a window with a baseball bat.
To clarify, no shot was fired during this incident. It appears the male broke the window with a bat. https://t.co/29BVREAtQQ

More than 20 law enforcement vehicles showed up -- a S.W.A.T. vehicle, police officers, and negotiators.
After a few hours of negotiations, the man inside surrendered peacefully. Police say there was nobody else in the house and no hostage situation -- he was alone.
Male peacefully surrendered to officers and is in custody.
