A Tucson banker was convicted of defrauding an 82-year-old victim.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 38-year-old Jacob Roach -- who worked as a relationship banker for a large Tucson-area bank -- created a fraudulent bank account in the victim's name, then embezzled $1.25 million.

Roach, who resigned from the bank before the scheme was discovered, was sentenced to 40 months in prison and ordered to pay that amount in restitution.
