TUCSON, Ariz. - Amid an ongoing strike, ASARCO Teamsters say they set a date to renew negotiations with the mining company.
According to Teamsters Local 104 representative, the two sides will meet Nov. 14.
"There has been one meeting date set for November 14 for the negotiation committee to meet with ASARCO," Schumann wrote in an email to KGUN9. "At this time, that is what I can confirm."
Teamsters started a strike Oct. 13, protesting against work conditions, benefits and pay.
Since then, 138 members have been off the job.
The striking employees work at the ASARCO Mission Complex in Sahuarita.
