The Northwest Fire District along with Golder Ranch Fire District and Tucson Fire Department responded to an apartment fire off Oracle and Orange Grove Road.
The fire occured on the 6300 block of N Barcelona Lane, approximately at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to the NWFD, heavy fire and smoke were coming from a second -floor unit.
Firefighters evacuated residents and eventually left the complex themselves.
They switched to a defensive operation because of extreme fire conditions.
About 16 apartment units were impacted by the fire.
No injuries were reported.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department are currently investigating the cause of the fire.

The American Red Cross for Arizona and New Mexico has confirmed multiple residents are displaced due to the severity of the flames.
