TUCSON, Ariz. - A commemorative statue was unveiled for mothers who have lost a child in U.S. military service.
A life-sized, bronze statue was held for the American Gold Star Mother, Sheron Jones, the event was in association with the American Patriot Memorial.
The statue is for all mothers who have lost their children during service.
The event was held earlier this afternoon at the Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery.
Sheron Jones has been working with the American Gold Star Mothers to bring awareness and sympathy to those who served and died in Armed Forces.
Jones also, promotes Wreaths Across America as well to ensure those who have and do serve are not forgotten.
