UPDATE: Several hundred still without power in Tucson area after storms, TEP says

Speedway Boulevard is blocked off to traffic due to several fallen power lines. The Tucson Police Department was there redirecting traffic. One of the officers said that the road would likely be closed all night.

Mike Choate is a neighbor who was without power. He said he left his house when the power went out to come see if there was any damage.

"A car came by in the neighborhood and they said the lines are all down," he said. "All over on Speedway— they look like toothpicks."

TEP says at least ten poles are down around the Greasewood Road and Speedway Boulevard intersection and about 900 customers are without power.

Several hundred customers are still without power across the Tucson area, Thursday night.

After monsoon storms blew through the area, several outages dotted the Tucson Electric Power outage map.

On the Westside, several hundred customers are without power after several power lines fell near Speedway Boulevard and Greasewood Road.
