TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Anger over the violence in Charlottesville spilled into Monday's Pima County Supervisors meeting.

People angry about comments from Supervisor Ally Miller came to the meeting to criticize her and found Miller was not there.

A long list of people wanted Supervisor Ally Miller to sit still and get a piece of their minds.

Her chair was there, but she was not.

Activist Isabel Garcia says, “Ally Miller you need to know in your empty chair the history here; the history of this country.  That's why there's division about Confederate monuments or not."

Doris Snowden of the NAACP said, “I've lived through the segregation of our theaters, our swimming pools, our schools even and so to have someone not understand the hurt that it causes…

This whole storm spun out of Ally Miller's Facebook page and some comments she made shortly after that Charlottesville incident which left a female counter protester dead along with two Virginia State Troopers.

On her personal Facebook page Miller said, "I am sick and tired or being hit for being white.  It is all about making us feel like we need to apologize.  I am WHITE - and proud of it! No apologies necessary."

Black Lives Matter activist Najima Rainey asked, “How on Earth do we have a representative who is that tone deaf?"

Last week on 104.1 KQTH Radio Miller called in and told James T. Harris condemning white supremacists and hate speech should be so automatic you don't have to say it.

She said, "Everyone should be proud of how God has created them and in His honor we should all continue to reject the identity politics that are tearing our communities apart."

While Supervisor Richard Elias has called for Miller to apologize, Michael Naifeh was one speaker who urged Supervisors to stop criticizing each other and pull together for the good of the county.

Supervisor Sharon Bronson called for a report on whether Miller can be censured to be presented in two weeks.
