TUCSON, Ariz. — The Pima County Department of Environmental Quality extended an Air Quality Advisory Thursday.

The Bighorn and Tortolita Fires have caused particulate matter and ground-level ozone to pollute the air near the fire. The advisory was originally issued for Wednesday.

Children, older adults and those with heart or lung disease are advised to keep outdoor activities to a minimum.
