Two men accused of kidnapping and killing 66-year-old Timothy Abriola April 25 face several charges after they were arraigned Friday.
The two 22-year-old suspects, Isaiah Franko and Eric Reino, are now in custody at the Pima County Jail.
Reino's charges include first-degree murder, armed robbery, aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated robbery, abandonment/concealment of a dead body, kidnapping, third-degree burglary, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, burglary, attempted third-degree burglary and criminal damage.
Franko's charges include first-degree murder, armed robbery, abandonment/concealment of a dead body, aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted third-degree burglary.
On April 25, officers responded to reports of an armed robbery at 902 E 22nd St.
Video surveillance showed that Franko and Reino entered the business with their faces covered. The two suspects later left the business, stole a vehicle and fled the scene.
Officers later located the vehicle and learned it belonged to Abriola.
As detectives began investigating, they learned that Abriola was kidnapped, carjacked, and injured.
TPD later located Abriola in a nearby desert. He was found dead with obvious signs of sharp force trauma.
