45th annual Greek festival opens Thursday

TUCSON, Ariz. — The Tucson Greek community at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church is hosting their 45th annual Festival from Thursday to Sunday.

This year they will be featuring the city of Kalamata, Greece. The festival will feature traditional Greek food, pastries, wine, beer, jewelry, crafts, and decor, as well as live Greek music and folk dancing.

Free admission all weekend to seniors, first responders, military and children 12 and under, everyone else pays 3 dollars for general admission.

Thursday Students with an ID get free admission, and Saturday with a University of Arizona football game ticket stub.

It will be at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1145 E. Forth Lowell Rd., Tucson, Ariz. 85719.

The doors open Thursday, Sept. 26 at five p.m. to 10 p.m. and end Sunday, Sept. 29 at 12 p.m. to five p.m.
