TUCSON, Ariz. — Everyone is safe after an East Side Tucson home caught fire Wednesday afternoon.
The 911 call came in to fire crews at 4:17 p.m. reporting a fire and popping sounds at a home in the 7200 block of E 19th St.
Crews reported seeing smoke on the way to the scene.
When they arrived five minutes later they found two men and two women outside the home.
They were able to enter the house and knock down the flames within nine minutes of arriving.
Nine units and 23 firefighters responded to the home.
No one was injured but the Red Cross is assisting the people who lived there with temporary shelter.
