KGUN9 On Your Side, Sun Tran and HSL Properties are partnering to sponsor a “Stuff-the-Bus” food drive that will benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
HSL Property and Community Food Bank hit their goal of 50,000 pounds of food, Food Bank Public Relations and Marketing Specialist Norma Cable said.
On Friday, Jan. 10, a Sun Tran bus will be located at Dorado Golf Course, 6601 E Speedway Blvd, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Non-perishable food items such as canned soups, boxed cereals, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, and canned meats such as tuna fish, chicken, and corned beef are needed. Monetary donations are also accepted.
“Any donation, whether big or small, is significant in helping a family,” said Steve Spade, Sun Tran General Manager. “So we invite everyone to make a donation in any way they can.”
After the holidays, the shelves at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona are often bare, so we invite everyone to make a donation, whether big or small, it will help local families in need.
