PIMA CO., Ariz. -- New year, new video from PCSD. The Pima County Sheriff's Department released a new video that they believe "represents our department and Pima County well."

The video mentions how Pima County is one of the longest inhabited places in the nation, with nearly 9,200 square miles that is rich in culture.

PCSD says, "it is our honor, as guardians, workers, communicators, protectors and advocates to serve you and uphold those beautiful, exciting moments of life."

PCSD says in the video, it is one of the nation's largest agencies. Through decades of change and development, the department says it has grown by instituting progressive plans and preparedness. The department works as a vigilant team to serve and protect.

The department makes a vow to "never become complacent." It says no matter how good someone is, they can always strive to be better.

Another important message in the video: excellence is not about where you've been, it's about where you're going and how you get there.

PCSD says everyone in the department is prepared today, to protect for tomorrow, serving the principle, professionalism and purpose. That's because Deputies live throughout the county: it's their community too.
