TUCSON, Ariz. - Authorities have a suspect in custody after a shooting in northwest Tucson Thursday night left one man dead.
According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, it happened at around 7:39 p.m. at a shopping center near Oracle and River roads.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man shot in the chest behind a Denny's restaurant. He was rushed to a hospital, but ultimately died.
PCSD investigators say a 37-year-old man is in custody for the shooting, identified as James Daniel Candelaria. He was arrested on one count of first degree murder.
