If you're a busy parent that is looking for an easier, faster, and cheaper way to drop your kids off at school, the Pima Association of Governments has a solution for you.

The association has created a new ride-sharing service called "School Pool"  for a better way to smooth the morning commute.

The free online ridesharing service matches up parents of children who attend the same school and live in the same area.

The school pool service is open to parents of children in grades K-12.

Officials with the Pima Association of Governments encourage parents tot eke advantage of the service. They believe it will reduce the number of cars on the road and harmful air pollution.

During the launch of Pima Commuter School Pool, the following school is participating in the pilot program:

  • Quail Run Elementary School
  • Tanque Verde Elementary School
  • Agua Caliente Elementary School

If you are interested in signing up for Pima Commuter School Pool, you can contact your child's school if you and ask for the Pima Commuter School Pool program administrator for more information.
