TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson Unified School District is looking to fill an opening governing board position after the resignation of Mark Stegeman.
In a Wednesday board meeting, the board voted unanimously not to submit names for consideration.
Pima County School Superintendent Dustin J. Williams will review applications submitted here. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 24.
Williams will announce his appointment before Nov. 1.
“I take this responsibility very seriously. I will appoint the candidate who most closely aligns with TUSD’s governing board adopted mission, vision, and values," Williams said in a statement.
