TUCSON, Ariz. - Sierra Vista police placed Buena High School lockdown Wednesday as they investigated a threat at the school.
Police say the incident started at about 2 p.m. when authorities received a report of a possible weapon at the school.
Officers say the person involved was detained and there's no longer believed to be a threat to the public, but the school remained on lockdown while police searched for a potential weapon.
The lockdown was lifted at around 2:50 p.m.
Police say the school resource officer will continue investigating the incident.
