TUCSON, Ariz. - Green Fields School will reopen this month as a charter school, more than three months after it shut down after 86 years as a private school.
According to Serei Kay, the school's director of special projects, Green Fields is now accepting students and plans to reopen Oct. 21.
In June, the school announced that it would shut down because it lacked funding to last the 2019-20 school year.
The K-12 school, at 6000 N. Camino De La Tierra, opened in 1933.
