TUCSON, Ariz. - Alice Vail Middle School was placed on soft lockdown Friday as police investigated a social media threat against the school.
According to a voice mail sent to parents, students will be placed in interior spaces in the building as the threat is investigated.
The message said the threat is due to a social media threat is continuing, and that administration would work with police to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The school, at 5350 E. 16th Street, was placed on soft lockdown Thursday due to police activity south of campus, according to a Tucson Unified School District spokeswoman.
