COCHISE COUNTY, Ariz. — The Cochise County Board of Supervisors has unveiled a new action that prioritizes public health amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a statement released Thursday, the following guidelines are now in effect immediately based on CDC recommendations.
Non-essential work sessions will be suspended, to include:
- Annual executive review of County Administrator on March 20
- Work Session: Visit Southern Arizona on March 24
- Work Session: Animal Welfare Update on March 24
Regular Board of Supervisors meetings are scheduled to continue as planned, Cochise County said.
County Employees will continue to work full time.
Members of the public are encouraged to access county services remotely over the phone or Internet.
“The County’s priority is to maintain both public health and public safety services during this national crisis." the board said. "Our employees will continue to work and provide normal services where possible, but in an environment that ensures the safety of the public and our staff."
